CAMBODGE The Cambodian Equestrian Federation (CEF) is seeking a highly qualified and passionate trainer to lead our national team and drive our equestrian program forward. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of equestrian sports in Cambodia. Main missions: - Equine Management: Oversee a stable of 20+ sport horses and ponies, assisted by a stable manager. Duties include staff management and training, scheduling, supervising facility maintenance, supervising equine care (including coordination with vet, farrier, dentist, and osteopath), etc. No daily stable or facility maintenance except in exceptional cases. - National riders training: Train the national team in showjumping and eventing (currently 9 riders but more in 2025) ­ . current level in Showjumping: 2 riders at the level of a CSI 1* 130 cm, 3 riders with a level of WCHA B 120 cm, 1 rider with a level of WCHA C 110 cm, 3 children riders with a level of 90cm ­ . current level in Eventing: in dressage/cross-country : novice - Coach Development: Training and developing national coaches. - Horses training: Train approximately 20 horses and ponies, including 9 green ex-racehorses - Event Organisation: Organise national events in coordination with the head coach of the equestrian centre hosting the CEF. - Competition Coaching: Coach national riders in national and international competitions. Key objectives in 2025: - develop and train 2 teams of 4 riders each to participate in the showjumping (120cm team and 130cm individual) and eventing (novice for dressage and 90cm height for Xcountry and showjumping) events of the Southeast Asian Games 2025; - develop and train 2 showjumping riders to participate in the Asian Championships 2025 (140cm); - qualify one rider for the FEI Jumping World Challenge Final 2025 - develop and train horses accordingly Requirements: - Significant and solid experience in the practice and coaching of showjumping and eventing. - Experience in retraining ex-racehorses. - Horse lover focused on horse welfare. - Stable management experience. - Proficiency in technical English. - Experience working abroad in an emerging country is a plus. - Personal qualities: rigorous and hard-working, calm, patient, pedagogical, flexible, and able to adapt to a different culture. Compensation and Benefits: - Net salary of 2,200 USD (net of income taxes) with a 3-month trial period. Salary with growth potential - Performance-based bonuses will be awarded for riders' placings in international showjumping (CSI) and eventing (CCI) competitions. - Annual bonus. - Visa and work permit - Health insurance - One roundtrip flight ticket per year. - Competition travel expenses covered by the Federation. - 5.5 days worked per week, 20 paid days annual leaves.
