IRLANDE The internship is for a groom to help in all aspects of yard work and preparation for lessons. Riding is available also. The yard has a mix of approximately 25 horses and ponies used for teaching and trekking. Our facilities include an indoor arena, two floodlit outdoor arenas and many kilometres of private off-road forest paths that have been purpose built for horse riding. Each week we welcome 200 trainee riders from the local area. Most are children but there are also adult learners. You should be experienced and prepared to do general yard work (feeding, mucking-out etc.) as part of the team. You will need to be responsible, flexible and adaptable, and be able to accommodate the changes in schedule that occur in running a busy yard with many regular adult and children as clients and many more tourists in the summer. Your work will also include managing groups of children at Pony Camps during school holidays,so you should be very friendly, welcoming, helpful and understanding towards clients as we also have several groups of special needs riders.
