AUSTRALIE Are you an experienced Assistant Trainer looking for that next career step with solid opportunities? Then look no further, we are on the hunt for a full time Assistant Trainer with 3 to 5 years’ experience for handling and training our trotters, particularly the young trotters. About the role : - You will be part of a small team that will be supporting the Head Trainer. - You will facilitate the day-to-day running tasks of our racing team, including : - Training and preparation of horses Racing, exercise and caring for horses - Planning training programs Adding to horse skills : - Excellent driving skills including extensive experience driving and handling young trotters. - Overseeing the daily care and supervision of horses, paddocks and stable work. About you : - This position requires someone who will be able to assist our Head Trainer with the full racing process. - Other key requirements of this role include : - Display excellent horsemanship. - Have 3-5 years’ experience in racing. - Proven experience of similar role, with health and safety management practices leading with an outstanding work ethic. - Must be able to drive to time - Must have experience in driving and breaking young trotters. - Must have the ability to shoe trotters (particularly young trotters). - Advanced communication skills. - Willingness to be hands on in this role will be essential.
